Logos Home Inc. Files Patent for MCB Method at Module Factory
– 50% Shorter Construction Time, Contributes to Resolving Carpenter Shortages and Improving Working Conditions –
LOGOS HOLDINGS INC.(Headquarters: Obihiro City, Hokkaido / President and Representative Director: Yuichi Ikeda)is pleased to announce that its group company, LOGOS HOME INC., has filed a patent for the MCB method used at its module factory.
What is the MCB Method?
The word MCB comes from the initials of the construction process – “Manufacturing” from making the main components in a factory, “Carrying” from carrying components by truck, and “Build” from assembling on a site.
The MCB method involves assembling wall and floor modules in a factory into box-shaped units, including pre-installed windows, insulation, and electrical wiring, which are then transported to the construction site. The modules are installed on pre-prepared foundations using a crane at the site.
Benefits of the MCB Method:
①Resolution of Carpenter Shortages
The MCB method involves producing modules in the factory and assembling them on-site. This approach reduces reliance on traditional carpenters and addresses the potential shortage of carpenters due to an aging workforce.
②Cost Reduction
By manufacturing modules in the factory during the foundation work and then assembling them on-site, the MCB method reduces construction time by about 40-60% compared to traditional techniques, resulting in significant cost savings.
③Improvement of Quality
Modules are manufactured in a controlled environment at the company-owned factory, minimizing the impact of weather and temperature changes, which results in consistent and high-quality construction.
